Maple Creek to Host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on June 11
MAPLE CREEK, SK — Residents of Maple Creek will have the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste at a special collection event on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The event will be held at the Arena Parking Lot and is open to all local households.
This event is an important part of the community’s commitment to environmental protection, offering residents a free and responsible way to get rid of hazardous products that should never go in the regular garbage.
What to Know Before You Go:
Basic Restrictions:

Household waste only — No industrial or agricultural waste will be accepted.

All items must be in their original containers with labels intact.

Containers must be sealed and leak-proof.

The word “Domestic”

Light tubes and CFL bulbs
Residents are encouraged to check storage areas like garages, sheds, and basements for expired or unused hazardous materials. Disposing of these items properly helps protect local waterways, wildlife, and community health.
